Border Biscuits is a family biscuiter founded in 1984. They have been producing the best possible biscuits for over 30 years, spreading crumbs of happiness as they go. Like most companies, Border Biscuits has a corporate vision. It is nothing long-winded or fancy; just a straightforward phrase: “Fulfilling our potential and that of the humble biscuit”. The company is keenly aware of the power of the biscuit. When people come together to share biscuits, a little bit of happiness happens.

Starting Life As A Tiny Factory with Simple Thought
1984
Word of mouth worked! Soon, new recipes like Dark Chocolate Gingers were launched to shouts of “More!”.
1996
The factory grew dramatically to keep up with demand, producing over 300,000 packets of biscuits a week to biscuit lovers all over the world. Today, we have more than 200 biscuiters making Border Biscuits with the same love and care as always.
In 1984, John Cunningham bought a tiny factory in Lanark. With almost no machinery and only 4 helpers, he set out to make the best biscuits he could. His theory was simple ―if the biscuits were good enough, word of mouth would spread.
1987
We needed to move to a bigger and better factory to keep up with demand. This Lanarkshire factory is still our biscuit making home today, although we’re still expanding!
